Capital Industries is a growing specialty construction firm providing simple solutions for the most complex projects by connecting people and building relationships. We are looking for a seasoned Controller / Head of Finance to join our executive leadership team as we scale the business.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Control
Monitor the financial performance of the company
Compile and analyze financial reporting packages (monthly, quarterly, annually) and present results/recommendations to executive leadership team
Balance and reconciliation of all accounts, financial recoveries and allocation
Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets & forecasts
Risk Management & Compliance
Actively identify, monitor, control, report, and advise on financial aspects of company risks and compliance requirements
Develop and manage financial policies and procedures
Leadership & Strategy
Contribute to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate, and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers
Establish solid, effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Define, develop and manage finance team (i.e., accounting specialists)
Lead the incorporation of technology, including AI, into workflow processes

Required Skills:
Accounting degree or relevant industry experience
Solid construction industry experience
Proven leadership experience building and growing teams
Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office suite
Self-motivated, self-directed, organized, bias for action, excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills:
CPA certification
Experience with Sage 100 Contractor, Sage Paperless, Trimble/Viewpoint Vista
